Set up TikTok ads
TikTok ads work on one condition: the creative looks like TikTok. Ads that look like ads die; phone-shot, native-feeling video performs. If you already post organically (see the TikTok guide), you have the raw material.
Create the ads account
- Go to ads.tiktok.com and sign up for TikTok for Business with your business email.
- Complete the business information and billing; set currency and timezone carefully (permanent).
- Connect your organic TikTok account under assets — this is what enables Spark Ads.
Install the pixel
- In Ads Manager, under Assets, then Events, create a pixel for your website.
- Install natively via your shop platform (Shopify and others integrate directly) or paste the snippet.
- Verify events fire before spending.
Start with Spark Ads
Spark Ads promote a REAL organic post from your account — comments, shares and the native look carry over:
- Post organically first; watch a few days.
- Put budget behind the post that already earned watch time — the algorithm's opinion of your organic posts is free testing.
- Cold-creative campaigns come later, built to the same native standard.
The discipline
- Hook in the first second, spoken; captions on screen.
- Refresh creative every 1-2 weeks — fatigue is faster here than anywhere.
- Lowest-cost bidding to start; judge on cost per conversion, not views.
Connect it to Huuve
When the TikTok Ads connector is enabled for your workspace, open Connections in Huuve and authorize the ads account. Spend and results feed Huuve's intelligence next to your organic TikTok numbers.
If something fails
- Account under review for days: normal for new advertisers; make sure the business info matches your website.
- Spark Ads unavailable for a post: the organic account must be linked in Ads Manager and the post's owner must authorize it.
