Set up X for your business

X (Twitter) is where niches talk: industries, scenes and cities each have a running conversation, and a business that joins it in plain language builds authority fast. Setup is the simplest of all platforms — the work is in the voice.

Create the account

  1. Sign up at x.com with your business email.
  2. Choose a handle as close to your brand name as available — short beats clever.
  3. Verify the email and set a strong password with two-factor authentication (business handles get targeted).

Complete the profile

  • Name: your brand name. Handle: the @name people will tag.
  • Bio: what you do, for whom, with a line of personality. Add your location and website.
  • Profile photo: logo. Header: product, team or place — something that says what you are without reading.
  • Pin a post that introduces the business or shows your best work.

The posting rhythm

  • X rewards frequency: 1-2 posts a day is normal, and posts age out within hours.
  • Plain text with a strong first line wins; threads carry depth; images and video lift engagement.
  • At most one hashtag — hashtag stacks read as spam here.
  • Replying to bigger accounts in your niche grows you faster than posting into the void.

Connect it to Huuve

In Huuve, open Connections and press Connect next to X. Authorize the account and Huuve drafts posts in your voice for approval, spreads them across the week, and syncs the results.

One thing to know: X charges for API usage, so posting and stats on X draw from your Huuve credits at X's exact rates with no markup. Posts that contain a link cost X significantly more than plain posts — one more reason link-free posts are the better habit here.

If something fails

  • Authorization loops: log out of X in the browser, log back into the RIGHT account, and retry.
  • Connection stops later: password changes end sessions; press Reconnect in Huuve.
