Set up a Pinterest business account

Pinterest is a visual search engine, not a social feed: people search for ideas they intend to act on, and pins keep surfacing for months. If your business is visual — food, interiors, fashion, crafts, travel, weddings, fitness — Pinterest compounds like SEO.

Create the business account

  1. Go to pinterest.com/business and create a free business account (or convert an existing personal one under Settings, then Account management).
  2. Fill the profile: business name, logo, one-line description with the words people search.

Claim your website

Claiming attaches your branding to every pin saved from your site and unlocks analytics:

  1. In Settings, then Claimed accounts, add your website.
  2. Verify with the HTML tag or DNS record Pinterest gives you.

Build the foundation boards

  1. Create 5-8 boards named for what people SEARCH ("Small balcony ideas"), not internal names ("Our products").
  2. Write keyworded board descriptions.
  3. Fill each with 10-15 pins to start — your own content plus quality saves; empty boards rank nowhere.

What a good pin is

  • Vertical 2:3 image (1000×1500 works), clear text overlay stating the benefit, your logo small.
  • Keyworded title and description written like a search answer.
  • Every pin links somewhere useful — a product, a guide, a post.

Connect it to Huuve

When the Pinterest connector is enabled for your workspace, open Connections in Huuve and authorize the account. Huuve drafts fresh pins on a steady cadence — evergreen and searchable, matched to your boards — for your approval.

If something fails

  • Website claim fails: the tag or DNS record is not live yet; propagation can take an hour, then re-verify.
  • No analytics: analytics need a business account AND a claimed site; check both.
